In this way, the average is quite effective. Setting BIOS to AHCI<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>These BIOS settings for <a href=\"https:\/\/techmaina.com\/what-version-of-windows-do-i-have\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">current versions of Windows<\/a> are mandatory.\u00a0Especially for a new computer or laptop.<\/p>\n<p>For example, when you want to\u00a0install\u00a0Windows 7 and below, your computer or laptop must be in\u00a0BIOS\u00a0settings\u00a0to AHCI mode.\u00a0Windows 10 can use IDE mode.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to know how, please follow the steps below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 10px;\">First, <a href=\"https:\/\/techmaina.com\/how-to-restart-windows-10\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">restart your\u00a0computer\u00a0or laptop<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 10px;\">Then during the boot process, please\u00a0<strong>press the F2 key on the\u00a0keyboard<\/strong>\u00a0to enter the BIOS menu.<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 10px;\">Then\u00a0<strong>click the\u00a0Play<\/strong><strong> menu<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 10px;\">In the Configure SATA as option-click<strong>\u00a0IDE<\/strong>,&gt; then <strong>change to AHCI<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Then save the\u00a0BIOS\u00a0settings\u00a0by\u00a0<strong>pressing the F10 key<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If previously the settings were ACHI&gt; try changing to IDE.
